Natalie Talbot (flute) developed an interest in Historical Performance while studying under Christopher Krueger at UMass Amherst. She holds a B.A. and an M.M. in modern flute performance (UMass) as well as a Masters of Music in Historical Flute Performance (Oberlin College). While studying under Michael Lynn at Oberlin, Natalie gained performing experience Baroque flute and other historical instruments. She has appeared as a soloist with the Oberlin Baroque Orchestra and the Five College Early Music Program’s Euridice Baroque Orchestra, and has attended the Baroque Performance Institute at Oberlin College. Natalie is currently studying Irish flute under Shannon Heaton and performs with the Southern New Hampshire University Wind Symphony, Never’s Second Regiment Band, and as a regular soloist at Blessed Trinity Parish in Westford, MA. As an educator, Natalie has worked as a private instructor, an elementary, middle, and high school music teacher, and a music director for youth theatre.
