Kathleen O’Boyle (voice) is an ardent music educator and performer and has been teaching private voice and piano lessons since 2006. She has taught many master classes and workshops specializing in audition and performance practice and has a keen ability for dramatic coaching. She specializes in vocal technique and has been taking leveling courses in speech language pathology to advance her scientific knowledge of the voice. She considers herself a crossover teacher and is comfortable teaching classical voice as well as pop and musical theater.
Kathleen has sung with Boston Opera Collaborative, Longwood Opera, Cambridge Summer Opera, and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus. She was a soloist and cantor at St. Theresa of Avila Parish and Trinity Lutheran Church of Boston in West Roxbury, and continues to perform at weddings and recitals during the year. She was a second place winner of Boston’s Best Voices contest in 2014, and had been a lead singer in a 9-piece funk band that performed in Boston’s most popular music clubs, including the Middle East Corner.
