The Canterbury Singers

In this Bach's Lunch Concert, the Canterbury Singers, with director Kathryn Southworth, present "We Make You Kindly Welcome: A Shaker Christmas.” The Canterbury Singers, a group that originated at Canterbury Shaker Village more than 20 twenty years ago, has expanded into a musical community of devoted singers and admirers of the Shaker legacy. In addition to sharing traditional and Christmas related tunes, hymns, and anthems of the Shakers, the group will invite the audience to join them in traditional carols of the season.

Much more than Bach, the Bach's Lunch series explores a range of musical topics and genres in informal, free, lunch-hour lectures and concerts the first and second Thursdays of each month, November through June.

Bach's Lunch lectures and concerts are held in the Recital Hall, 23 Wall Street, downtown Concord; they begin at 12:10 and conclude by 12:50 p.m. Bring your lunch - and your friends!

Venue Details

The Recital Hall at Concord Community Music School is on the Wall Street side of the building. It can be accessed via the doors on Wall Street (only open during Recital Hall events) or through the main entrance of the Music School on the Fayette Street side of the building.
