Keith Murphy, speaker
In the early 20th century, traditional song collectors travelled around (mostly the countryside) in Atlantic Canada and Northern New England, meeting singers and transcribing and publishing their songs. Today we have those song collectors to thank for preserving age-old oral traditions and passing down the traditional music we enjoy.
