How did we get from Oklahoma to Hamilton? What defines the style of each era, and what are the secrets of vocal technique that give each style its unique sound? Ever since The Black Crook debuted as the first musical in history, things have come a long way as far as vocal style is concerned. Join singer and actor Tyler Shore as he explores the history of Musical Theatre, performs representative songs from each era, and demonstrates and explains shifts in vocal technique and style through the decades. You can sing along with Tyler and experiment vocally in the privacy of your home (participants are muted and not visible for the first 45 minutes). Enjoy the community conversation by sharing your questions and comments throughout on the Chat and in person when everyone convenes for the Q & A at the end of class. For teens and adults.
