Sing, Play, and Dance With Us This Winter!

Come and play with songs... stories... movement games... rhythm instruments... improvisation... art... dance… fun! 

Open to all children, from newborns through 5 years old and their parents/caregivers.

Faculty: Heather Oberheim, R-DMT

COST: $75/child 

Class will run for 6 weeks; tuition will be pro-rated based on start date.

Mondays

Drums & Fun
Ages 2-5 - Mondays, 9:00-10:00 am
January 25 -  March 8, 2021
Zoom with Miss Heather and have some fun! In this class, we will explore drumming using rhythms and songs, learn finger-plays, sing theme-based songs and dance. Classes will close with story and meditation time. Kids can use homemade drums or plastic containers for their drum time.

Bouncers
Ages 5 mo-2 years - Mondays, 10:15-11:00 am
January 25 - March 8, 2021
Parents and caregivers will learn fun songs to sing with babies and toddlers, have lovely bonding movement time, and discover development through movement and song. Our class offers a chance to chat with other parents and caregivers about new struggles. Classes end with a story read by Miss Heather.

 

Tuesdays

Lullabies and Stories
Ages: 0-6 mo - Tuesdays, 10:00-10:45 am
January 26 - March 9, 2021
Parents and caregivers will have a special time to hold their child and sing lullabies, learn about using movement and music for sensory and cognitive stimulation, and have fun! Music and movement will last for 30 minutes, followed by a 15 minutes of zoom time for conversation and stories amongst new parents and caregivers!


Faculty: Heather Oberheim, R-DMT, teaches early childhood Music & Movement at the Music School throughout the year. She also travels to other sites to teach through the School’s Music in the Community Initiative (MICI), including programs with pre-school special needs children and Laconia teens enrolled in an early childhood education program. Oberheim earned her undergraduate degree at Colby-Sawyer College, majoring in psychology with a concentration in dance. She also holds a master’s degree in dance movement therapy from Antioch New England Graduate School.
