...Now's the time to join the Music School’s New Horizons Band!

Rehearsals are on Thursdays, starting September 30th (13 weeks). Tuition is $195.

On Safety: Rehearsals will take place in our large Community Room space which is equipped with a medical grade HEPA air purifier. Each band is limited to 20 participants to allow for social distancing. Vaccination is required for all participants. Masks must be worn when not playing and instrument bell covers are strongly encouraged. Please visit our Covid Response Update page for a full list of protocols.

New Horizons Band - Thursdays, 7:00 - 8:15 pm, starting Sep. 30, 2021

A community band that welcomes adults of all ages who play woodwind, brass, or percussion instruments. No auditions, no requirements, just reasonable comfort on your instrument to get started.

New Horizons Beginner Band - Thursdays, 5:45 - 6:45 pm, starting Sep. 30, 2021

Always wanted to join a band but your mom wouldn’t let you play a loud instrument? This weekly group class of mixed band instruments will start at the very beginning and help you gain enough comfort to play in an ensemble, including the New Horizons Band!

To register for either program, please call 603-228-1196.

About the Director
Maria Isaak performs as a bassoonist with a number of ensembles throughout New England. As director of the Purple Finches choral program, she has enabled her students to win highly competitive auditions each year for the OAKE National Choir, to appear in prominent community events, and to collaborate with Eastern Ballet, Suncook Valley Community Chorus, and Concord Chorale. Maria received a master’s degree in bassoon performance from the New England Conservatory and studied choral music at the International School for Kodály Studies in Hungary. She is also on the faculty at St. Paul’s School.

Maria has decades of experience teaching band instruments and directing public and private school band programs, including the San Francisco public schools and multiple school districts in New Hampshire and Maine.
