Market Days Festival

The Music School is proud to participate in Concord’s annual Market Days Festival, a FREE three-day street festival on Main Street in downtown Concord on June 23-25! Stop by our booth anytime from 10 am – 8 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday to learn more about our programs, and join us for some free demo classes, jams and performances!
Music and Movement classes with Miss Heather
Thursday, June 23 and Saturday, June 25 from 10-10:45 am at City Plaza
Thursday, June 23 from 2-3 pm at State House Lawn – M&M and Storytime!
Join Heather Oberheim, dance movement therapist for a chance to sing, dance, move and play! Designed for children ages 5 months – 8 years and their parents or caregivers, we will have a chance to play instruments, explore props through dance and song, learn marching and moving rhythm games.
On Thursday at 2 pm, find Miss Heather “Under the Tree” on the State House Lawn for a one-hour class, split between music and movement and finishing with story and meditation time.
Music with Miss Julieann
Friday, June 24 from 10-10:45 AM at City Plaza
Enjoy a live concert from children’s musician and music therapist Miss Julieann! This interactive show focuses on engaging the creativity of children, while also working to support the development of language and attention skills.
Meet the Instruments and Student Performances*
Saturday, June 25 from 1:30-2:45 PM at City Plaza
Join Music School students and faculty to listen and learn about a variety of instruments and voice. Music School students and several group ensembles will demonstrate their instruments and perform some musical selections. Watch for appearances by the Northern Lights, Canterbury Singers, private lesson students and other small ensembles!

Folk Jam
Saturday, June 25 from 2:45-3:45 PM on State House Lawn
Join with fellow folk musicians of all levels and abilities to learn tunes and play together in a relaxed environment. All instruments are welcome, especially fiddles, guitars, mandolins, banjos, basses, accordions, flutes and whistles, bagpipes, bombardes, harps, dulcimers, harmonicas, and bodhrans!
