Ariel Slater (suzuki violin) started playing violin at the age of 4 and grew up as a “Suzuki kid,” studying in Iowa and Michigan. She holds a BM in Violin Performance from the University of Michigan, and has done her Suzuki training through Book 6, working with Ann Montzka-Smelser and Kimberly Meier-Sims. She has taught in Suzuki and traditional programs in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. When she’s not playing music, Ariel is an avid cyclist and enjoys gardening and adventuring with her two children. She is very excited to be joining the faculty and starting a Suzuki program at Concord Community Music School.
